  1. Directions for use:

  3. Macintosh:
  4.     See the "Readme.txt" file in the MAC folder.
  5.     Open the folder "MAC" and double click on the TextWare application.
  6.     Open one of the .CTL files and access the indexed database.
  7.     Help is available under the "Apple" Menu.
  8.     More detailed help is available in the TextWare User Manual.
  9.     * You may choose to run from your own hard drive, to do this:
  10.         1. copy the folder "MAC" to your hard drive.
  11.         2. make sure the CD is in your CD-ROM drive and mounts
  12.             on the desktop.
  13.     * dates can be searched for in this way: 01/25/1991

  16. PC:
  17.     The batch file on the root: WTI.BAT will get you started.
  18.     Steps required:             
  19.         1. You must be in the drive that contains the CD.
  20.             (Do this by typing the letter that is the CD drive,
  21.             E.G. type "E:"
  22.             where E is the letter you assigned to the CD drive.)
  23.         2. type "WTI"
  24.             This is a batch file that starts TextWare.
  25.         3. Once in TextWare select the indexed database file to open.
  26.         4. Hints and tips:
  27.             * press the escape key to get past the first screen.
  28.             * press F1 for online help.
  29.             * For more detailed instructions open the TextWare Manual
  30.                by selecting it as the indexed database (see step 3 above.)
  31.             * when using the TextWare manual type "card 1" to start
  32.               reading the instruction manual and "+" to page through it.
  33.             * press the escape key to back out of an operation.
  34.             * dates can be searched for in this way: 01/25/1991
